Buffalo Is Often the Closest Airport, Not the Final Stop
Buffalo Niagara International Airport serves a region far larger than the city. Travelers bound for Rochester, the Southern Tier, Chautauqua, Erie, and most of the Niagara peninsula in Ontario often find that the cheapest or only workable flight lands at BUF, and the last leg is a drive of one to three hours.
For that leg the usual options are a one-way rental, a friend with a free evening, or a regional bus with its own schedule. A private car removes the driving after a long day, leaves at the time your flight actually lands, and takes you to the door rather than a downtown depot.
It also works in reverse. If you live in Rochester or St. Catharines and the better fare is out of Buffalo, we collect you at home and drop you at the terminal, planned backward from your check-in time.
Long-distance rides are the right call when
- Your destination is one to three hours from BUF and you would rather not drive after flying
- You are a group of two or more, so one flat fare replaces several tickets or a rental plus fuel and tolls
- The connection is gone and the next seat is tomorrow, but the drive gets you there tonight

Flight Cancelled or Diverted to Buffalo?
Weather over the Great Lakes, a crew timeout, or a mechanical issue can end your day in Buffalo when the ticket says somewhere else. When the next available seat is the following afternoon, ground transportation is sometimes the fastest way to finish the trip, and always the most predictable.
Tell us where you actually need to be. If it is Rochester, Syracuse, Toronto, or anywhere else within a few hours' drive, we quote the run before you commit and, when a driver is available, leave as soon as you have your bags. If the airline has rebooked you for the morning, we can take you to a hotel tonight and bring you back for the flight on the same booking.

Flat Rates Where We Publish Them, Quotes Everywhere Else
Established routes carry a published flat rate for the whole vehicle, listed on the rates page and shown on the route cards above. That rate covers the ride, the driver, and tolls, and it does not move with traffic, border queues, or the time of night.
For any destination not on the list we quote before pickup. We do not publish a per-mile figure because the real cost of a long run depends on tolls, whether a border crossing is involved, the time of day, and the driver's return to Buffalo, and a per-mile number would be wrong in one direction or the other for most trips. Ask, and you get a single figure for the trip.
Payment is by cash or card. Card payments carry a 4% processing fee, and on cross-border trips payment is taken before the bridge. Nothing is charged when you book.
What to Expect on a Longer Ride
Room for the Distance
Sedans carry up to four passengers with luggage, minivans up to six, and larger groups travel in two vehicles. Tell us the bag count and any oversized items when you book. Rest stops on the way are fine; just ask the driver.
Planned Around Your Flight
For an airport pickup we track the inbound flight and adjust if it is late. For a departure from a distant city we plan backward from your check-in cutoff, with border time added on Canadian routes.
Cross-Border on Canadian Routes
Every passenger needs a valid passport, NEXUS card, or other accepted document. The driver picks the bridge on the day based on live wait times. Entry decisions are made by the border officer, not the driver.

Yes. A short rest, food, or fuel stop on a longer run is normal. Let the driver know, or mention it in the booking notes. Detours to a second destination should be agreed when you book so the fare covers them.
Yes. Southern Ontario is a large part of what we do, and the drivers cross daily. Bring valid travel documents for every passenger and allow for border processing time, which is usually short late at night and longer on holiday weekends.
It depends on the one-way rental fee, your dates, and whether cars are even available at that hour. Many travelers compare the two and decide on total cost plus whether they want to drive for hours after a long day. We give you the fare up front so the comparison is easy to make.
